The Jersey Turtleneck
A thin jersey turtleneck, cut close. This is the layering piece — it goes under the Velvet Blazer, under the Sherpa Corduroy Jacket, under anything — without adding the bulk a knit turtleneck would. It is not a sweater and it will not keep you warm alone in February.
Fabric: 95% polyester, 5% spandex. Slight stretch.
Care: Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low.
Measurements (inches, garment laid flat)
| Size | M | L | XL | 2XL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Length | 25.2 | 25.6 | 26 | 26.4 |
| Chest | 37.8 | 39.4 | 40.9 | 42.5 |
| Sleeve | 23.2 | 23.6 | 24 | 24.4 |
Fit note: 37.8 inches at M is properly slim — identical to our Velvet Blazer, which also runs a size small. If you take a medium in most brands, order the large here. The spandex gives you a little forgiveness the blazer doesn't, but not a size worth.
It is a short body at 25.2 inches. Under a blazer that is fine. Worn alone with low-rise trousers it may sit at the waistband rather than below it.
Sizing stops at 2XL on this one, which is narrower than most of the men's shop — the Sherpa Corduroy Jacket goes to 5XL. Worth knowing if you were planning to layer the two.
