The Cotton Shacket
A shirt-jacket with two flap pockets on the chest, cut long enough to wear open over a jumper. Thin rather than padded — this is the layer you put on in October, not January.
Fabric: 95% cotton, 5% spandex. Worth pausing on: almost everything else in the men's range is polyester, and this is not. It has a dry, matte hand and a little give from the spandex, which is what stops a cotton jacket feeling like a board.
Care: Machine wash cold. Tumble dry low.
Measurements (inches, garment laid flat)
| Size | Length | Chest | Sleeve |
|---|---|---|---|
| M | 26.8 | 42.5 | 23.4 |
| L | 27.6 | 44.1 | 24.0 |
| XL | 28.3 | 45.7 | 24.6 |
| 2XL | 29.1 | 47.2 | 25.2 |
| 3XL | 29.9 | 48.8 | 25.8 |
| 4XL | 30.7 | 50.4 | 26.4 |
Fit note: Cut roomy on purpose — 42.5 inches across the chest at M is a good inch and a half more than our Sherpa Corduroy Jacket at the same size, because a shacket is meant to go over things. If you want it as a shirt rather than a layer, size down. If you are wearing a jumper under it, take your normal size.
